Alpine trails, endless views, great huts and good people - the idea to cross Tyrol from lake Achensee to lake Reschensee sounded like a dream trip close to home.

We planned for long days, endless climbs and a lot of carrying our bikes and were totally sure it will be worth the effort. In the end it totally was, but hardly anything went as planned. Thunderstorms, bad weather and 40 cm of fresh snow paired with temperatures below 0 °C forced us to change our plans on a daily basis. What was anticipated as a classy crossing turned out to be a week of adventure biking at its finest.
